As the Fundraising Director for The Resurrection Cathedral project, I have the unique privilege of connecting with our generous donors and hearing their inspiring stories. Today, I want to share a particularly moving story from one of our supporters, Sean Covell, that highlights the profound impact of our shared mission.
Sean's journey to Holy Orthodoxy has transformed his perspective on life and the use of his talents and gifts. Rather than pursuing further worldly gains, Sean has chosen to follow the path of the Saints, dedicating his resources to help others discover the Truth and to build a lasting legacy. His commitment is to create a sacred space where future generations of Orthodox Christians can gather to worship and work toward salvation.
Sean eloquently expressed, “The world needs the Truth now more than ever.” Motivated by this conviction, he has generously contributed to our project, supporting the creation of a beautiful Cathedral to honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His story is a powerful reminder of the eternal impact we can make when we choose to invest in our faith and community.
Sean recently shared with me: "Since discovering the Truth of Holy Orthodoxy, my heart has been burdened to use my talents and gifts the Lord has given me, not to acquire more businesses or more worldly possessions, things that the Lord and His Holy Saints remind us are temporary and will decay and perish. Instead, I've been forced to follow the example of the Saints and use my resources to help others discover the Truth and leave a lasting legacy for my children and their children by helping to build a place of worship where many future generations of Orthodox Christians can come together and worship. The world needs the Truth now more than ever. Please consider contributing to the most worthy cause, an eternal one—a beautiful Cathedral to honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ "
Sean's commitment to his faith and his vision for our community is truly inspiring. His decision to invest in something everlasting rather than ephemeral challenges us all to reflect on how we might contribute to our faith and community.
As we approach the critical deadline of closing on the property for our Cathedral in just 16 days, we still need to raise over $400,000. Stories like Sean's remind us of the profound impact our Cathedralwill have as a sanctuary for generations to come. Your support at this vital time can help make this vision a reality.
Please consider making a donation today. Whether you are inspired by Sean's desire to leave a lasting legacy or simply wish to see our community thrive, every contribution brings us closer to our goal.
Thank you for considering this heartfelt request. Your generosity can help build more than just a building; it can forge a beacon of faith that will serve generations to come.
Warm regards,
Tatiana
